Wood Element- Excitement of Spring meets Powerful Determination

posted in: Crystals | 0

In the world of Chinese 5 ElementsGreen is a symbol of Spring and rebirth. Green is the color of the Wood Element, and people who are woods are strong, bursting forth and ready for action. Sounds a little like Spring doesn’t it? But never think a Wood person is “green” in life. They know what they want, and are ready to go and get it. A debate with a wood will not be short-lived nor will it be easy. But, it will be fair. A wood mind can’t be swayed easily, they are, like trees, rooted in their opinions and unlikely to change, even if proven wrong. And a wood is low-maintenance. Excess is not their forte. Simple haircuts, easy to wear wardrobes with softer and loose fitting fibers, clean looks with jewelry (which isn’t in excess) and functional, not overly fashionable shoes. Taking selfies and pictures of their food are not the ideal way a wood spends their time.

Despite the simplicity of their lives, wood elementals are led by their most dominate emotion- anger. Now, this doesn’t mean they are always mad, or unruly, rather they are determined. They can have intense passion which can manifest as anger when they see someone being wronged. These are the knights in shining armor when the little guy is being bullied. And this is also a key fault. This passion to right wrongs can backfire due to their intensity. They become the tree that is rigid in a windstorm, and ends up snapping, shattering to pieces. When their anger and passion are managed, they are able to sway and bend in the wind. Pressure can become an unbearable burden to the wood who isn’t able to bend. And that pressure isn’t isolated to them, they will help those who can’t handle pressures like life, work, sickness, injustice. A wood is a good friend who will look out for those they trust and value most.

When it comes to life a wood is very instant gratification. They are not in it for the long haul. The harder a goal is to obtain, the less likely they are to succeed at it. And if something isn’t completed quickly, frustration sets in… it can make them angry. And if their activities feel like time wasters, anger can overflow. This is especially true for the wood who ends up wasting time unintentionally, or without thought. The end of a lazy Sunday for example can feel like utter failure to the wood. But, if they delve into a project, they won’t be satisfied till it is done to their liking. They will stay up till the wee hours of the morning finishing a puzzle instead of stopping at a reasonable point, even to the dismay of their life such as needing sleep or finishing other projects. And this is also true of their personal and daily lives. A wood distracted during work is a frustrated wood, especially when the target or finish is within reach. And this can lead to control issues. Woods must have control of their surroundings. And this also goes for movement. Woods don’t like sitting or staying still for long. Meditation can be difficult for a wood element- they would rather be dancing to music than trying to focus on breath and calm.

The wood mind doesn’t like boring and constant- stress is their middle name. They thrive on it. A wood might be a “Jack of all trades” type. The more challenging work is the happier they are. But, this takes a toll on personal relationships. A wood will decompress their stresses on family and friends, whether they want it or not. It’s not to be mean or that they don’t care, rather a wood has little other ways to get stuff off their chest. And this can sound mean, angry, hurtful to someone who isn’t used to this behavior. Starting relationships can be tough for a wood, and they often do better in small family settings, either just a couple or one child homes.

Vek and Zeal Wood Element Bracelets

The wood element bracelet is a green-centric design that includes the stones Green Aventurine, Green Agate, and Moss Agate. Green represents growth, change, forgiveness, and can even represent love and compassion. Compassion and kindness are in league with the need for a wood element to fight for the little guy, but is the exact opposite in methodology. A wood bracelet helps calm the anger and fight in a passionate wood, bringing those ideals to calmness and compassion. These bracelets also have green freshwater pearls and green Swarovski crystals.
